Project Manager

We are looking for a hands-on Electrical Project Manager to lead a portfolio of building projects through planning, design, construction, and closeout. As part of a growing firm, you will work directly with our principals, lead meaningful projects, and help shape how we work and grow together.

What You'll Do

You play a pivotal role in shaping sustainable building design projects from concept to completion. Your responsibilities will include:

• Lead electrical building projects through planning, design, tender, construction administration, and closeout.

• Serve as the primary day-to-day contact for clients. Lead meetings, communicate decisions and risks clearly, and build trusted, long-term relationships.

• Direct and review the design of power distribution, lighting and controls, emergency power, fire alarm and life safety, communications and security systems, and EV charging infrastructure.

• Coordinate with architectural, mechanical, structural, civil, and specialty consultants. Execute on drawings, specifications, reports, and calculations to produce accurate and constructible deliverables.

• Lead construction administration activities, including RFIs, shop drawing reviews, site reviews, change notices, contractor quotation review, progress claims, deficiency reviews, and project closeout.

• Plan and assign work to designers and EITs, provide clear direction and feedback, and help team members grow through practical coaching and mentorship.

What You'll Bring

• 5 or more years of progressive experience in electrical building services consulting, including demonstrated responsibility for project delivery and client coordination.

• A bachelor's degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, or a related discipline.

• Proficiency with AutoCAD (experience with Revit is a bonus). Familiarity with Bluebeam and Microsoft 365 is expected.

• Strong working knowledge of electrical distribution, lighting and controls, fire alarm and life safety, emergency systems, and low-voltage building systems.

• Working knowledge of the Canadian Electrical Code, BC Building Code, applicable standards, local bylaws, and utility requirements.

• Experience managing design coordination, scope changes, and construction administration activities.

• Clear communication, sound judgment, and strong follow-through, with the confidence to lead discussions and manage several competing projects without losing sight of quality or client commitments.

• Registration as a P.Eng. with Engineers and Geoscientists BC, or eligibility to register, is preferred.

• Ability to attend client meetings and project sites throughout the Lower Mainland. Candidates must be legally entitled to work in Canada.
